Preparation
Cooking Instructions
Makes 8 servings of Sambhar of approximately 12.5g:
1. In a large boiling pan blend Fudco Sambhar instant mix in 1200ml (42 1/2 fl.oz) of water.
2. Bring to boil stirring occasionally. Add 2 tomatoes, chopped or sliced. Simmer on a medium heat for 15-20 minutes to desired consistency. Tip! To enhance flavour, add your choice of chopped parboiled vegetables (you can use a mix of drumsticks, ladyfingers, pumpkin, etc).
3. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves & serve hot as an accompaniment to Fudco Instant Idlis, Dosai and Wada's or as a side dish with rice. Tip! For Tastier Sambhar, heat 1-2 teaspoons pure ghee, add a pinch of asafoetida, 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds and 1-2 red chillies. Add to hot Sambhar.
